FAQ

300 DPI is standard for high-quality prints. 150 DPI is acceptable for large-format prints viewed from a distance. 72–96 DPI is typical for screen display only.

Multiply the desired physical size in inches by the DPI. For a 4×6 inch photo at 300 DPI, you need 1200×1800 pixels.

DPI stands for dots per inch. It describes the resolution of a printed image — how many ink dots fit in one inch. Higher DPI means sharper, more detailed prints.
